My Moving Brain: brain health and inclusive sport, in Galway
FutureNeuro, the research centre hosted at RCSI, runs My Moving Brain, a series of public events on brain health and inclusive sport for people living with neurological conditions. For the final event, in Galway on 1 November 2025, it wanted a different look from the earlier ones. We filmed and photographed the afternoon for a highlight film, two short reels and a reel for Science Week.

Coverage of the last event in the series: inclusive sport and hands-on science in the foyer, then talks in the theatre, with a fresh look and photos ready quickly.
What we filmed
One afternoon in two halves: people trying inclusive sports and science activities, then the speakers in a 120-seat theatre. Anyone who asked not to be photographed was marked on the day.

From brief to sign-off
Two weeks from the event to the last sign-off.
Step 01
October 2025: kick-off
A planning call on 3 October, then a production plan for the day.
Step 02
1 November: the event
Two filmmakers covered the foyer and the theatre, and a selection of photos followed the next working day.
Step 03
Early November: the Science Week reel
A short reel was turned round first, for Science Week.
Step 04
Mid-November: signed off
The reels and then the highlight film were signed off by 14 November.
