Moving Tides: a sunrise swim and a gold pendant
Stonechat Jewellers asked us to launch its Moving Tides collection and its partnership with the mental-health charity Aware. We filmed open-water swimmers at sunrise on Killiney beach, the pendant being made at the bench and interviews with the owner and Aware’s CEO. About a day and a half of filming gave Stonechat four films, for a budget of €6,615.

What they needed
Films to launch the Moving Tides collection and Stonechat’s partnership with Aware, plus a general film for the shop in the Westbury Mall.
What we filmed
Open-water swimmers going in at sunrise at Killiney, sit-down interviews with Ann Chapman and Aware’s CEO on two cameras, and close-ups of the gold pendant being soldered, filed and finished at the bench.
Waiting for the right morning
A sunrise swim needs calm water and a beach that’s open. We watched the forecast with Stonechat for weeks and moved the shoot twice, once for rain and once for a swimming ban, before we got the morning.
What we delivered
- About a day and a half of filming
- The 1:48 Moving Tides film
- Vertical versions for Reels
- Two short teaser spots
- A general shop film
- A recap of the Seapoint swim

“Mango Media’s team is passionate about what they do, and it really shows! They were excited about the project and no request was too much trouble.”
From brief to sunrise
Four months from the first email to the last film, most of it spent waiting for the sea to cooperate.
Step 01
May 2025: the brief
Stonechat sent its brief in mid-May and accepted our proposal a week later.
Step 02
June 2025: the plan
We sent an idea deck and storyboard, then a production plan for the swim, the workshop and the interviews.
Step 03
June and July: two postponements
The first sunrise was rained off in June, and a swimming ban stopped the second in July.
Step 04
28 July 2025: Killiney
The swimmers went in at sunrise, and we filmed the workshop and the interviews around it.
Step 05
August and September: the films
Stonechat approved Moving Tides in August, and we filmed the charity’s Seapoint swim in September for a short recap.
