Ireland’s baby bank, and the people who run it
Community Connect runs a national baby bank, passing donated baby essentials on to parents who need them. When it won a small circular-economy grant in February 2025, it asked us for a film about that work. We filmed its volunteers and the parents it helps in one day in April, and the film was signed off in May.

What Community Connect needed, and what we made
- When
- February to May 2025
- Shoot
- One day with the team
- Length
- A 4:28 film
What they needed
A film for donors and supporters. The grant that paid for it was for the circular economy, so the film had to show reuse in practice: a cot repaired, a buggy cleaned and passed on.
What we filmed
Volunteers at work, a coordinator narrating and speaking to camera, parents and volunteers on what the service means to them, and close-ups of what families receive, plus an animated map and titles.
Changing course
The first plan was an animation. Once the grant came through, the charity chose live action instead, for the same budget, so real people could tell the story.
What we delivered
- One shoot day
- A 4:28 film
- Narration and pieces to camera
- Parent and volunteer interviews
- An animated map and titles
- Signage and number plates blurred
One shoot day, a 4:28 film, narration and pieces to camera, parent and volunteer interviews, an animated map and titles, signage and number plates blurred.
